TYPE: Elective module

COORDINATOR: Josep Roma, PhD

The objective of this module is to present the most relevant characteristics of the oncological process and the morphological and pathophysiological features of the different tumor types that are essential for the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. On the one hand, the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in cancer, epigenetics and genetics are described, as well as the antitumor strategies currently in use. On the other hand, the most predominant types of cancer are addressed from the most clinical aspect (diagnosis - treatment) and also from the point of view of basic research applied to the main cancer types.
